    Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at sales@griffinfarmequipment.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

All four brands that we represent at Griffin Farm Equipment are manufactured in Northern Italy, in the highly productive manufacturing markets surrounding the fertile and productive crop-growing regions of Lombardy and Bologna.  Italy has a strong tradition of innovation and technological advancement in crop production, and we have carefully selected these particular manufacturers for import and introduction into the US crop markets.

While there are some minor charges being implemented on steel and aluminum, many of the machines imported from these companies are exempt from specific duties, presumably due to their importance in the US food and crop production industries.  At Griffin Farm Equipment, we have worked hard to keep costs reasonable and prices level, to continue offering these labor-saving technologies to farmers for improved efficiency and better ROI on your equipment spend.

Most likely not.  While it may be possible in some US markets to purchase these equipment lines, the companies predominantly use distributor dealers such as ourselves to offer specialized service and expertise on these customized transplanters, seeders, and auto-weeding machines.  Many of the features and options available with each of these investments are highly customized to your farm's specific needs and conditions.  Getting the highest level of service requires knowledge and expertise that can only come from a specialized dealer that understands these technologies and that can answer every question with care and specific knowledge.

Prices for standard 'base' models are listed under the product pages.  Most final solutions best suited to your farm will require consultation with a representative from our team to understand your operation, the specific crop needs, and goals for your purchase investment.

Most likely not.  While it may be possible in some US markets to purchase these equipment Both Wizard and MaterMacc use a vacuum 'plate' system, that utilizes a fan to create suction that holds individual seed to a specialized metal plate, and then drops the seed into the seeding chute at precise time and distance.  While these seeding units and plate systems are virtually identical, there are differences in overall construction.  The MaterMacc seeders are built with heavier steel and components, better suited for larger acreage and fields with rocky, uneven, or hard packed soils.  Wizard seeders have lighter construction designed for primarily well-prepared soils, and they are therefore less expensive to produce and have lower price points for smaller acreage or beginner-level crop growers.  BOTH seeders offer exceptional precision and savings for labor and seeding costs.

We will work with any interested grower who is interested to purchase a machine for their operation.  We will offer financing options, including credit-card payments, payment plans, and the ability to work with local ag lending solutions such as Farm Credit.

Yes - both Checchi & Magli and MaterMacc offer options for planting into covered mulch fields, for a 'No-till' approach.  Specialized equipment is included on such machines, and this does add some additional cost to the price.

We support all of our customers with full support after the sale, ensuring that you are happy and satisfied with the performance of your planter on your specific farm operation.  Depending on the complexity of the machine and the customized solution, we will often offer personalized in-field support (where possible) to ensure proper use and utilization of the equipment.

Depending on specific location, we can arrange for delivery to your farm, within a pre-determined radius from our warehouse.  For a fee, delivery can be arranged to any location within the continental US, with prior arrangement and advance notice.

All equipment comes with a one year manufacturer's warranty (from date of delivery), to be of stated quality and specification as listed in brochures, company websites, and other such supporting material.  Griffin Farm Equipment will work with you to investigate the deficiency, and communicate with the manufacturer on a resolution to be pursued.  Shipping costs may be the responsibility of the purchaser, depending upon the nature of the warranty claim.

We will work with customers to evaluate all the options for crop solutions on their farm, and if possible we may allow farms to 'trial' machines before purchase.  Such a trial period length, terms and conditions will be at the sole discretion of the dealer (Griffin Farm Equipment) and will be communicated clearly to the potential customer ahead of trial.
